Since 8 January in the Library of Science (LoS), students can borrow a fleece blanket at the service desk to make studying a little more comfortable. Due to the high ceiling, the door which has to remain open and the technical difficulties with the heating system, it can get quite cold in the library. ‘Some students wear thick scarves and hats inside’, says one of the service desk employees. In December there stood a wishing tree in the LoS, through which students could anonymously share their wishes. One student came with a solution to warm up the students: fleece blankets. The service desk employees are excited about the initiative. ‘The blankets are used frequently. Just today, four have been borrowed already.’
